John Stalker Productions was created to:

  • Create and deliver theatre productions of scale, quality and ambition.
  • Form partnerships of like-minded producers to promote artistic innovation.

Music & Lyrics’ key aims are to create and deliver theatre productions of scale, quality and ambition  and to provide audiences with extraordinary theatrical experiences.

To date, Music & Lyrics has produced The King and I in 2011 which toured 2011/12 and High Society which completed a 24 week UK and Ireland tour in July 2013.  Fiddler on the Roof, starring Paul Michael Glaser  as Tevye and directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood ran for 24 weeks in 2013/14 and was seen by over 177,000 people.  Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! starring Belinda Lang as Aunt Eller and Gary Wilmot as Ali Hakim, was directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and choreographed by Drew McOnie, toured the UK and Ireland from February until August 2015.  Music & Lyrics presented a new production of the much-loved Sherman Brothers musical  Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  The production opened at West Yorkshire Playhouse on 2 December 2015 and played for a nine-week season. The UK & Ireland tour commenced on 10 February 2016 and ran until 4 February 2017.  Directed by James Brining and choreographed by Stephen Mear, the touring cast included Jason Manford, Phill Jupitus, Claire Sweeney, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Shaun Williamson, Michelle Collins, Lee Mead and Martin Kemp. In 2017 Music & Lyrics presented The Addams Family, a musical comedy starring Samantha Womack, Cameron Blakely, Carrie Hope Fletcher and Les Dennis.  Directed by Matthew White, the production toured the UK and Ireland, and concluded the tour playing the MES Theatre in Singapore for 3 weeks.

Music & Lyrics’ next production will be a new stage production of Leslie Bricusse’s Doctor Dolittle opening in Bromley in November 2018 as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations.
